Greetings from YFL!!! This week will meet at ‘The Wall’, which provides a beautiful prop for focus, alignment, and power. What we learn about our body & poses at the wall will, then, transfer out on the mat and away from the wall. Our Sanskrit focus is ‘Santosha’, or trying to find contentment within all that life throws at us, each and every day. Our mudra (hand gesture) is the ‘Dhanyi’, which promotes deep concentration into attaching to the energy of ‘Spirit’.
This week’s Yin practice will focus on ‘Spinal Bliss’, or stretching and relaxing the back into its full potential of ‘range of motion’ and flexibility. We will fold, backbend, side bend, and twist the spine.
We have several ‘Special Events’ on the horizon for the month of September: 1. 9/7 ‘The Tibetan Bowl Healing Sound Concert w/Betty & Peter. Please sign up at YFL, or email, to preregister. The cost is $25, and we will enjoy the concert from 1-3 p.m. 2. 9/4-Sophie starts a four week workshop on ‘Ayurveda’, and pre-registration is required. The class will meet for four consecutive Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 p.m. 3. 9/28-Sophie will offer her quarterly ‘Yoga For Emotional Liberation’ workshop from 1-3 p.m. @ $25.
