Alyssa received her Yoga Alliance RYT-200 and most recently her RYT-500 certifications from Western Yoga College under the direction of Scott Miller. She initially discovered yoga through her lifelong love of ballet. She began dancing at age 4 and progressed through intensive training programs to become a professional ballet dancer and later a teacher to students of all ages. Along the way she fell in love with yoga, which became a great form of cross-training and helped Alyssa to heal her mind and body. She has studied various forms of Hatha yoga including Ashtanga, Anusara, Viniyoga, Vinyasa, Yin yoga, and Kundalini as well as meditation and Pilates and has enjoyed practicing with many different instructors all over the country. Alyssa now enjoys sharing her love of yoga with all kinds of members of the community.
