Greetings from YFL!!! Happy Monday and Day Light Savings Time!!! We worked very hard last week, so this week we will be focusing on deep stretching with prop assistance with our restorative practice: restore, renew, and relax!!! Our Sanskrit focus is another one of the eight limbs of yoga, “Pratyahara”, or to withdraw from external stimuli, and connect with our body via the breath. Literally “going out of our minds”, and into our bodies!!! :-)!!! Our hand gesture or mudra is the Dhanya, or meditation mudra to evoke the parasympathetic nervous system, and a deeper state of contemplation. Our meditation focus is to “Lighten Up”, and our music for meditation is provided by Tom Barabas from his Nuage CD, “Clouds”.
Our Spring Equinox Drum Circle will be on Sunday, March 25th, from 5-6 p.m., and it is FREE!!! Bring a rhythm instrument, and a friend!!!
Sophie is offering the her workshop the Yoga of Grief on Saturday, April 7th, from 1-3 p.m., and the cost is $25. Contact Deb at YFL to register. 951-676-8285, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
It will be another great week at YFL!!! As always, we can’t wait to see you on the mat!!!—Namaste’, Deb
