Moving Motivation

photo-568

Greetings from YFL!!!  This week is our Classic Hatha practice, which will emphasize more vinyasa elements, and vitalize us with “Moving Motivation”!!! Our Sanskrit focus is “Om Purnam Idam”, a mantra that affirms that we are full and complete within ourselves, and a part of the whole. Our mudra is the familiar “Ushas”, the hand gesture for connecting us to all things good.

The meditation focus is “Ground into Connection”, as we feel the grounded-ness of the physical body via the breath, and how the breath connects us to everything in the Universe. Enjoy meditation music from “Classical Yoga Music”-“The Butterfly Waltz”.

Please share the Special Announcement that you received concerning the “Artistry of Yoga-School & YTT” with your friends and family. The YFL August newsletter will be at your email desk on Saturday morning, the 1st!!!

As always, we can’t wait to see you on the mat!!!—Namaste’, Deb

Wall Dynamics!!!

photo-624

Greetings from YFL!!! This week we marvel at the “wonder” of the dynamics of “The Wall” as a tool of resistance for asana practice. It provides isometric dimensions within the poses, and this results in a deeper, safer intensity within the body. Although, dynamic and strong, the “Wall” practice is also deeply contemplative. This will foster our Sanskrit focus, “Ananda Hum”, or I am “JOY”. Our mudra focus for this week is “Matangi”, which will help us to develop our inner peace, harmony, and stillness. Our meditation focus is “Inner Harmony”. Enjoy meditating to one of Deb’s favorite songs-Claire de Lune.

There is no PIYO at YFL 7/19 or 7/26. It will return on August 2nd!!!

The deadline for registering for our new school of “Artistry of Yoga” is September 9th. Our space is limited, so please register soon, if you intend to participate in 2015.

As always, we can’t wait to see you on the mat.—Namaste’, Deb

Restore and ‘Relax into Greatness’!!!

photo-526

Greetings Yogis and Yoginis!!!

We have arrived at yet another week of Restorative yoga. As we practice restoration this week let’s focus on “Relaxing into Greatness”, as we express gratitude for the health and well-being that we are creating within our minds, bodies, and hearts through our practice. Let gratitude open us to “Grace”, or the amount of light within our souls. I invite you to sign-up for Oprah Winfrey’s and Deepak’s new 21-day Meditation Challenge entitled “Gratitude into Grace”. It is free, and a wonderful experience. It began today, so there is still time to register. Just google their names, and you will be guided through the registration process.

Our Sanskrit focus this week comes from their 21-day meditation, Day 1, “Dhanya Vad”, or “I feel gratitude”. Our Mudra is “Pushpaputa”, the hand gesture for evoking “Openness and Acceptance” of joy, light, and love. Our meditation focus is “Gratitude into Grace” accompanied by the soothing music of James Hood. Have a great week, and we are so grateful at YFL to see you on the mat this week!!!—Namaste’, Deb

Our Sansrkit focus is “PARUSA”, or “Inner Spirit”, and our mudra is the classic “CHIN” for connection to Universal Consciousness. Our mediation focus is “Let Go” to the beautiful music of Anne Sweeten. As always, we can’t wait to see you on the mat!!!—Namaste’, Deb
