Open Your Heart

photo-532  Good Monday Morning Yogis and Yoginis!!! This week’s physical practice will focus on opening the heart by untying the heartstrings!!! Our Sanskrit focus is Hreem, or the seed sound for the heart, and our mudra is the “Chin”, or Universal mudra for connecting to energy. As always, we can’t wait to see you on the mat!!!—Namaste’, Deb

To the Wall!!!

photo-527 Greetings Yogis and Yoginis!!! Yes, this is Wall Week at YFL. We will take our practice back to the wall to increase resistance within our asanas!!! Our Sanskrit focus is truly what practicing yoga is all about: “Pran Sakti”, or to harness our innate inner power and energy. Our mudra is the “Pran”, which serves to ground, stabilize, and energize our body systems.

I am also excited to announce that in collaboration with the Temecula Yoga Collective, YFL is sponsoring three Kirtan Concerts this summer!!! We are hosting these events at the Gazebo behind the Painted Earth on the grass lawn. Bring a towel or beach chair, and be ready to chant your heart out!!! They are free, but donations are greatly appreciated!!! Dates: 8/17 @ 4 p.m., 8/31 @ 3 p.m., and 9/21 @ 3 p.m. If you want more info about Kirtan, then read Deb’s featured article in the July edition of the YFL newsletter.

As always we can’t wait to see you on the mat!!!—Namaste’, Deb

Good morning yoginis and yogis!!! We trust everyone had a wonderful 4th celebration with lots of activity!!! If so, you are probably ready to stretch and relax with your yoga practice, and Deb will provide just that this week, as we emphasize “Restorative Yoga” on the mat!!! Our Sanskrit focus is “AUM Shanti”, or the Cosmic “YES” to peace!!! Our mudra, hand gesture, of focus this week is the “Detox”.

Community Kirtan concerts are coming this August, so stay tuned for specific dates!!! As always, we look forward to seeing you on the mat very soon. Have a fabulous week!!!—Namaste’, Deb
