Our Sanskrit focus will be “Samyama” or self-control, self-restraint as practiced with meditation, concentration, and contentment. Our weekly mudra is “Bhumiparsha”, or the gesture of enlightenment. KEEP CALM AND YOGA ON!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS YOGIS AND YOGINIS!!! YFL has a modified schedule over the next two weeks!!! We will be closed on the following dates: 12/24-12/26 and 12/31-1/2, otherwise our regular class schedule will be in effect. Our NEW WINTER SCHEDULE will take effect on 1/6, and will be posted on the website that week.

This week we will be working on balance on the mat, as well as off the mat. We maintain at one minute for the holidays with respect to our plank challenge. We will increase to 75 seconds on 1/6.

Our Sanskrit focus is SHANTI, peace, and our mudra is DHARMACHAKRA (Gesture of the turning wheel). This mudra creates harmony between our inner and outer world, signifies eternal change, and drawing upon truth and wisdom to maintain our balance.photo-424        Namaste’, Deb

Winter Solstice Practice

Good Monday Morning Yogis and Yoginis!!!

This week we will usher in the shortest day of the year, 12/21, with our Mandala Namaskar practice, with the anticipation of light bringing us out of the dark, as the days get longer, and we approach spring into more light. This practice is both rejuvenating and invigorating. Our Sanskrit focus is “Prasada”, or a state of grace and mental acuity considered a gift from Universal Source. Our mudra is “Vajrapradama” or “unshakeable trust”. We have a full week of classes planned just for you, so come see us on the mat for a respite during this frenetic time of year.—Namaste’, Debphoto-414

Next week at YFL!!!

photo-41412/16-12/21 we will welcome the Winter Solstice, as we practice together in our Mandala formation. It will be a great way to usher in the slow progression of longer days and more light!!!—Namaste’, Deb
