GREETINGS YOGIS AND YOGINIS!!!

We hope you enjoyed the August newsletter, and listening to the video clip of the Clapping Monkeys!!! The first of our co-sponsored Kirtan concerts is just around the corner: 8/17 @ 4 p.m. on the lawn at the gazebo behind Painted Earth!!! See you there!!!

This week’s asana practice will focus on strength, endurance, power, toning, and of course stretching.  We will be bearing our own body weight, and using hand weights for part of the practice. Our Mudra is “Ganesha”, remover of all obstacles. Our Sanskrit focus is three blessings: Shanti, Shakit, Shambu, or Peace, Power, and Plenty (Abundance). We will also be chanting the bija sound for the solar plexus chakra, RAM, to evoke power and strength.
