Greetings from YFL!!! Happy April…no fooling’!!! Look for the YFL April newsletter on your email desk around 9-10 a.m. this morning!!! It has many interesting tidbits from yoga asana to nutrition, and beyond!!! What’s happening this week at YFL?!!! This is our second full week of the NEW SPRING SCHEDULE!!! Check out the website-www.yogaforlife06.com!!! This Saturday is our quarterly Tibetan Bowl Healing Sound Concert from 1-3 p.m. @ $25, with Betty & Peter. We still have a few spots left, so contact Deb ASAP to register.
This week marks the first of the month, so that means…”Weight Time”!!! We will sculpt, tone, and strengthen with our body weight, and additionally with hand weights!!! Our Sanskrit focus is “Shara Vana Ya”, or ‘My awareness is aligned with the creative power of the Universe. Our mudra is the ‘Detox’ hand gesture. It helps remove toxins from the body, cleanses, and purifies you mentally, physically, and spiritually. Helps to dispel negativity. Our meditation focus is ‘Creativity’, and may be contemplated while listening to James Hood’s ‘Imaginary Friend’ from his CD, ‘Imagination’.
Yin practice will focus on promoting ‘Good Digestion’ this week!!!
A reminder that Carol and I will be guiding you on the annual Yoga-Hike at the beautiful Santa Rosa Plateau on Friday, April 12th. We will meet at the visitor center at 8:30 a.m., and Carol will guide the hike, and share her incredible knowledge of the geology, history, botany, and fauna of the plateau. Following our hike, for anyone interested, we will meet at The Bean, just down from the plateau for coffee, and a chat!!! This event will preclude our normal morning schedule at the studio. So, there will BE NO 8:15 & 9:30 a.m. class on 4/12. Bring water, a towel, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and $4 per person for the plateau fee.
It will be another wonderful week at YFL, and as always, we can’t wait to see you on the mat!!! That is NO APRIL FOOL’S JOKE!!!—Namaste’, Deb
