Sukha Stirha Week!!!

Greetings from YFL!!! We hope you had a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!!! This is the 5th week of May, so Deb will insert a different theme for this final week of the month. It will be Sukha Stirha week, which is a blending of the energy forces of Yin and Yang. The beginning of the practice will be lively and filled with energetic flow. The latter half of the sequence will bring the energy level down, and emphasize deep, prolonged poses for fascial stretching. Our Sanskrit focus is Santosha, or finding our way into a state of contentment!!! Our mudra for the week is Ushas, or connecting to all things good. The meditation focus is Gratitude, which is proven to be a very healing energy focus. The music I selected for this week’s meditation is Michael Hoppe’s  “Silence of the Stars”.

June is almost upon us, so watch for the monthly newsletter on 6/1 @ 10 a.m. Sophie’s “Yoga for Grief” workshop will be on Saturday, June 23rd, from 1-3 p.m. Deb’s next Meditation I 5-week course is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 9th, from 11 a.m.-Noon.
